Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Manager: Oversee and manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Review payroll records, timesheets, earnings, deductions, and tax reporting. Manage payroll tax filings, payments, reconciliations, and payroll-related general ledger accounts. Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues, discrepancies, and benefit reconciliations. Prepare payroll-related journal entries, reporting, and support audit activities. Lead payroll process improvements, documentation, and ERP/payroll system conversion efforts. Qualifications for the Payroll Manager: 5+ years of progressive full-cycle payroll experience, including payroll leadership responsibilities. Government, municipal, or public sector payroll experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll tax filings, reconciliations, compliance, and payroll accounting. Experience with payroll systems, ERP conversions, and process improvement initiatives.
