Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Asst

NP – Contract Opportunity NP needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s manufacturing client located in Clay, NY. This opportunity is in the Occupational Health Clinic, assessing work‑related injuries. Schedule: Monday‑Friday 7a‑4p. Duration: 5/11‑8/31 with possibility of extension or direct placement. Pay: $62‑75/hr. Responsibilities Provides first‑aid, medical treatment including single‑layer wound closure, ordering x‑rays, and appropriate follow‑up to occupationally ill/injured workers consistent with Workers’ Compensation standards and laws. Provides first‑aid or minimal incidental care and treatment and appropriate follow‑up for non‑occupational conditions consistent with standards for an employer on‑site clinic and laws. Performs regulatory testing, TB tests, immunizations, blood draws, drug testing if required. Performs other wellness activities, flu shots, education and coaching for programs as requested. Performs examinations for employee medical surveillance programs including new hire, fit‑for‑duty, return‑to‑work, or exit exams. Provides return‑to‑work clearances as appropriate. Performs effective case‑management follow‑up for injuries/illnesses and absences. Provides counseling to employees on employment risk reduction initiatives as needed. Maintains employee health records and databases. Computes data entry of all employee demographic and health information. Responsible for handling and safeguarding Protected Health Information. Follows all applicable HIPAA laws, regulations, and guidelines. Develops and maintains good relationships and communication with clients, medical and safety personnel, co‑workers, supervisors and managers. Qualifications Current NP certification in the state of New York. Current BLS certification. Experience with occupational medicine or related fields is preferred.
