Territory Manager

The MNK Group has been retained by a leading North American manufacturer and distributor of high-performance plastics and engineered materials to identify an experienced Territory Manager. Our client is a nationally recognized industry leader providing stock shapes (sheet, rod, tube), custom machined parts, and engineered polymer solutions to high-tech end markets including Aerospace, Semiconductor, Medical Device, and Food Processing. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who excels at technical solution selling, building relationships with machine shops and OEMs, and growing a high-margin territory. Key Responsibilities Territory Growth: Proactively identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities across industrial OEMs, machine shops, and fabricators within the designated region. Consultative Selling: Partner with client engineers, buyers, and plant managers to recommend high-performance plastics (e.g., PEEK, UHMW, Polycarbonate, Fluoropolymers) based on wear, thermal, and mechanical requirements. Account Management: Maintain and expand existing accounts by offering value-added services, including cut-to-size processing and custom fabrication solutions. Quote & Close: Generate technical quotes, manage pricing margins, navigate lead times, and follow up on quotes to secure orders. Market Intelligence: Monitor local market trends, competitive activity, and emerging application opportunities across target industries (Aerospace, Semiconductor, Medical, etc.). Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 3+ years of B2B outside or inside sales experience in Plastics Distribution, Metal Service Centers, Industrial Bearings/Seals, or Technical Industrial Components . Product Knowledge: Familiarity with stock shapes, mill tolerances, custom fabrication, or high-performance engineering materials is strongly preferred. Customer Base: Proven track record selling directly to OEMs, machine shops, and purchasing managers. Technical Aptitude: Ability to read basic engineering prints/drawings and discuss application specifications with engineers. Sales Skills: Strong proficiency in cold calling, territory mapping, margin management, and CRM usage (Salesforce or similar). What They Offer Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure.
