Insurance Agency Owner Protégé / Aspiring Business Owner

Position Overview
Are you an ambitious professional looking to own a business but don't know where to start? Our Farmers Insurance Protégé Program is a fast-track, paid mentorship designed to turn high-potential individuals into successful business owners.

You will work directly alongside an established, top-performing Farmers Insurance Agency Owner. Over a 6 to 12-month period, you will receive hands-on training in sales, marketing, operations, and leadership. Upon successful completion of the program and meeting performance benchmarks, you will graduate to own your own Farmers Insurance Agency —with the traditional startup liquid capital requirements completely waived.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Drive Revenue: Learn and execute proven sales strategies to sell Property & Casualty, and Life insurance products.
• Build Relationships: Prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, and community marketing.
• Advise Clients: Conduct comprehensive reviews of client assets to recommend tailored insurance coverage.
• Learn Agency Operations: Shadow the Agency Owner to understand staffing, financial management, and daily workflows.
• Hit Milestones: Meet specific monthly premium production goals to ensure your readiness for agency ownership.

What We Look For (Requirements)

• Licensing: Ability to obtain or currently hold active Property & Casualty (P&C), Life, and Health insurance licenses (we will guide you through this process).
• Background Check: Must pass a standard corporate background check (including criminal and credit history).
• Mindset: An entrepreneurial, self-motivated spirit with a strong desire to run your own business.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; a natural ability to build trust quickly.
• Experience: Prior experience in sales, customer service, retail, or management is highly preferred but not required.
