DuPage Eye Surgery Center is a busy ophthalmology surgery center seeking a full/part time certified surgical technologist. Hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday no weekends or major holidays.
Responsibilities
Prepares room for surgical case by getting necessary supplies/equipment.
- Follows protocol for room prep and turnaround.
- Maintains sterile field throughout operative procedures.
- Follows safe operating procedures for the department and utilizes supplies in a cost effective manner.
- Ability to meet the needs of the department with regular, reliable attendance.
- Employee maintains current certifications required for the position.
- Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
- Completes all education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
Qualifications
- Be a graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician program or equivalent with a certification.
- Have at least 2-3 years experience scrubbing ophthalmology cases.
- CPR certified.
