Lab Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Verify reactivity profile and physical testing properties to confirm correct formulations. Perform chemical testing on wet samples. Prepare polyurethane formulas on lab scale and mix samples. Operate titration equipment for Chemical properties of OH, N%NCO, H2O, Blowing Agent) Record results in data base, create spreadsheets and maintain records. Organize and maintain lab area, including ordering supplies. Set up, calibrate and maintain lab equipment. Prepare and update quality reports and work instructions. Report all discrepancies or conditions identified to be out of the normal operating condition to immediate supervisor. Participate in team problem solving activities and continuous improvement activities. Follow all internal and OSHA required safety and environmental procedures. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Key Qualifications Associate degree in Science (Chemistry preferred) 1-3 years of previous quality lab experience, preferably in industrial setting Experience working with polymers- a plus. Experience working with lab equipment (Carl Fisher water titration device, viscometer, general lab equipment) Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

Position is based on site in Rochester Hills, MI. No visa sponsorship is offered for this position. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm, occasional Overtime possible.
