Substation Engineering Manager

Lead a team of talented engineers in shaping the design and execution of electrical substations. You’ll focus on ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, while mentoring your team and supporting business growth. This role combines technical leadership with people management and strategic oversight. What You’ll Do Guide and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of substation projects. Ensure quality, cost, and schedule targets are met across multiple projects. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to solve technical challenges. Foster a positive team culture and support professional development. Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and team efficiency. Who You Are Experienced in substation engineering and electrical design. (10+ years) Comfortable managing teams of diverse skill sets. Skilled at balancing technical oversight with project delivery and client engagement. Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to work with engineers, contractors, and clients. Motivated by mentoring others and helping teams succeed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering PE Significant experience in substation engineering and project management. Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and best practices.
