Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact in the lives of K-6 students as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This full-time contract position provides a rewarding opportunity to utilize your expertise in pediatric speech therapy within a supportive educational environment near Aurora, IL.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current IL SLP-CCC certification and Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Specialized experience with school-aged children, especially ASD populations
- Strong foundation in SLP practices within educational settings
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language therapy for students, focusing on educational and functional outcomes
- Manage a caseload of K-6 students identified with ASD
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor student progress
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and parents regarding communication strategies
- Maintain all required student documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and ongoing professional development initiatives
