Quality Technician

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Perform inspections and tests on incoming or in-process materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, such as hard gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, hardness testers, and CMMs to conduct efficient and accurate part measurement. Assist in the validation and verification of new product designs and manufacturing processes. Support the operations team with gap analysis and root cause identification and application of basic problem solving with appropriate quality assurance tools. Perform detailed process audits and drive targeted improvement actions through coaching of others or direct ownership of the resolution. Provide technical support to engineering and production teams to ensure compliance to quality standards. Assist or lead supplier management activities such as corrective actions and product validation. Maintain accurate and timely data and other records for work performed. Where skill gaps exist, learn through training or OJT, processes such as calibration, CMM programming, and quality system auditing. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Prior experience in a similar quality, manufacturing, or engineering technician role is required. Proficiency using a wide range of measurement tools. Ability to interpret part drawings, material, and engineering specifications. A strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and industry best practices. Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO16949, ISO31000). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Six‑Sigma, Lean, TPS exposure preferred. Attention to detail and deep commitment to continual improvement. Effective verbal, written and digital communicator. Highly collaborative, with firm team‑building approach. Experience with process capability tools and/or statistical analysis (preferred).
