Packer – White Glove Delivery & CasegoodsThe Packer – White Glove Delivery & Casegoods is responsible for preparing luxury casegoods furniture for shipment by carefully inspecting, wrapping, protecting, and packaging finished products to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. This role plays a critical part in preserving the craftsmanship and quality of Vanguard Furniture by using specialized packing methods designed for white glove delivery and premium customer service.Position ResponsibilitiesInspect finished furniture for cosmetic defects, damage, or quality concerns prior to packaging.Carefully wrap and package casegoods using protective materials to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.Apply white glove packaging standards to ensure products arrive in showroom-quality condition.Install protective materials such as foam, blankets, corner protectors, plastic wrap, and custom packaging as required.Verify product identification, customer information, hardware, and accessories are complete before shipment.Assemble cartons, crates, or specialty packaging as needed.Secure furniture for shipment while protecting delicate finishes, veneers, glass, mirrors, stone, and decorative components.Work closely with Quality Assurance, Shipping, and Production teams to resolve packaging or product concerns.Follow shipping specifications and customer-specific packing requirements.Safely move furniture using carts, dollies, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Meet production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, or furniture handling experience preferred but not required.Experience handling high-end or luxury furniture is a plus.Ability to safely lift and move large furniture pieces.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to recognize cosmetic defects before shipment.Understanding of proper furniture handling techniques.Ability to follow packaging specifications and work instructions.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to protecting finished products and delivering an exceptional customer experience.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance or appropriate equipment.Frequent handling of large furniture pieces.Ability to operate pallet jacks, carts, dollies, and other material handling equipment.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
