Working here you’ll be part of a family that works together to make a difference and enhance the lives of millions worldwide.What You’ll Work OnLead Reliability & Asset Management StrategyOwn plant-wide equipment reliability, uptime, and performance for highly automated manufacturing and support systems. Develop and execute lifecycle strategies that include preventive and predictive maintenance programs, asset replacement planning, and obsolescence management to ensure long-term manufacturing capability and regulatory compliance. Make sound business decisions that balance production needs, safety requirements, regulatory standards, and financial impact.Inspire and Develop High-Performing TeamsProvide leadership for a large multi-shift maintenance organization of 60+ employees, including skilled trades professionals, supervisors, planners, reliability engineers, and technical specialists. Build a culture centered on safety, accountability, employee development, engagement, and continuous improvement.Drive Financial PerformanceManage and optimize an annual maintenance and reliability budget of approximately $10 million, including labor, materials, spare parts, contractor services, and project expenditures. Utilize data-driven decision-making to prioritize investments, control costs, and maximize asset performance while maintaining compliance and operational integrity.Ensure Compliance and Audit ReadinessMaintain full accountability for maintenance-related compliance requirements and successful audit outcomes. Partner closely with Quality and EHS teams to ensure adherence to FDA, SQF, GMP, OSHA, and customer standards, while leading investigations and corrective actions when needed.Manage Strategic PartnershipsServe as the primary site contact for equipment related contractors, OEMs, vendors, and service providers. Oversee contractor performance, negotiate service agreements, and ensure all external work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site requirements.Execute Major Site InitiativesLead annual maintenance planning, reliability improvement initiatives, and complex equipment repairs. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline requiredAdvanced technical or leadership training preferredEquivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered8+ years of manufacturing support experience5+ years of senior leadership experience managing large maintenance, reliability, or skilled trades organizationsExperience working in a regulated manufacturing environmentProven success leading complex maintenance operations, plant shutdowns, and large-scale capital or expense projectsDemonstrated accountability for regulatory compliance, audits, and corrective action programsStrong knowledge of FDA, SQF, GMP, OSHA, and maintenance management system requirementsExpertise in reliability-centered maintenance, asset management, and preventive/predictive maintenance strategiesAdvanced financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgetsStrong project management, contractor management, and strategic planning skillsExceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilitiesIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
