Vice President, Strategic Alliance Management

ICON seeks a Vice President to serve as senior executive sponsor for strategic customer partnerships. The role focuses on developing executive relationships, overseeing alliance performance, driving cross-service growth, and ensuring operational excellence across assigned client portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Serve as executive sponsor and primary strategic contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships
- Lead alliance governance, portfolio performance monitoring, and long-term account planning activities
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure service delivery quality and client satisfaction
- Drive resolution of complex operational, quality, and financial issues while managing escalations
- Develop and execute account growth strategies to expand ICON service offerings with clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and professional experience
- Significant experience in clinical research, drug development, CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors
- Proven track record leading strategic client partnerships and managing large, complex customer portfolios
- Strong understanding of clinical development, project delivery, and global operational oversight
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent relationship management, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; preference for East Coast US location
