Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized critical care nursing services to ICU patients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Support the interdisciplinary team and adapt to varying acuity levels and patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, identifying changes in condition and adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications, invasive procedures, and treatments in accordance with protocols and physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families on their condition, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active RN license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience in medical, surgical, neuro, or trauma units.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Meditech EMR and ICU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and IV pumps.
