Social Media Manager (Hybrid)

DescriptionA client with Kforce is seeking a Social Media Manager that is comfortable on camera to join their team in the San Diego office. This role will work 3 days a week (mandatory) in office - Tuesday , Wednesday, Thursday. The Social Media Manager will support its Consumer Group Communications team and the client's brand's social media channels. Summary:This role blends strategist and creator. You'll set the editorial vision and content calendar, but you'll also be the one on-camera bringing it to life, so you should be as comfortable pitching a content strategy in a room as you are hitting record. Success here means going from zero followers to a channel with real audience traction, a distinct creative voice, and a repeatable content system others can build on as the brand scales.Responsibilities:* Partner with creative and strategy teams to ensure real-time insights influence content development, not just reporting or retrospectives* Proactively identify and execute trendjacking opportunities, determining when and how the brand should participate in moments, memes, or conversations in a way that feels timely, authentic, and on-brand* Own day-to-day social media engagement while also serving as a hands-on content creator, producing platform-native content across X, Reddit, Discord, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and emerging channels* Concept, create, and publish short- and long-form content,including on-camera appearances, voiceovers, and reactive formats aligned to brand tone and cultural moments* Develop and execute content strategies and editorial calendars, balancing planned campaigns with real-time and trend-driven opportunitiesRequirements* Proven experience as a social media manager and/or content creator, with a strong portfolio of original, platform-native work. Experience launching new brand social channels is a plus* High proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.), or equivalent creative tools* Experience with social media management tools for listening and engagement (e.g. Sprinklr, Plot, etc.)* Comfortable and confident appearing on camera and directing self-shot or lo-fi content* Exceptional copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone, humor, and messaging across platforms and formats, earning upvotes, likes, and replies* Expertise in social media usage, channels, platforms, and community management best practices* Strong understanding of social trends, internet culture, and audience behavior, with the ability to move quickly without sacrificing brand integrity* Experience working within editorial calendars while remaining agile enough to respond to real-time momentsWe are seeking a highly creative and culturally fluent Social Media Manager who blends real-time community engagement with hands-on content creation. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable being on-camera talent and producingplatform-native content as they are acting as the voice of the client, and inserting the brand into relevant social conversations.We're looking for a social-first storyteller and creator to launch and grow a new set of brand channels from the ground up.
