Accounting Assistant
$28 - $30 per hourSHR
SHR Talent is partnering with a real estate organization in the Milwaukee, WI area to hire a Temporary Accounting Assistant for an assignment beginning in December 2026 and continuing through April 2027. The Temporary Accounting Assistant will support day-to-day accounting operations with a primary focus on commission payroll processing and journal entries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accuracy while working with time-sensitive financial information. Temporary assignment: December 2026 - April 2027 Compensation: $28-$30 per hour Key Responsibilities Process daily commission payroll accurately and within established deadlines Prepare and post journal entries Review accounting information and supporting documentation for accuracy Research and assist with resolving discrepancies Maintain organized and accurate financial records Provide general accounting and administrative support to the accounting team Assist with additional accounting functions and special projects as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or a related function Working knowledge of general accounting principles and journal entries Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet daily deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a defined temporary assignment with a reputable organization in the Milwaukee area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
