The Accounting Clerk supports the day-to-day work of the Cousins Subs Finance team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, stays organized and is comfortable working with numbers, systems and financial information.

This role will handle a variety of accounting and clerical responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable invoices, cash deposits, weekly franchisee payments, reconciliations and support for month-end close. The Accounting Clerk will work closely with the Controller and Finance team to help keep our records accurate, current and ready for reporting.

This is a part-time, on-site position at our Support Center in Menomonee Falls, averaging around 20 hours per week. Hours will generally be scheduled Monday through Friday and may increase during month-end close or other busy accounting periods.

What Will You Be Responsible For

Accounts Payable and Receivable

o Maintain the paperless accounts payable approval process and supporting records.

o Enter accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices into the appropriate systems.

o Assist with accounts receivable collections and follow-up.

Cash Payments and Reconciliations

o Prepare and reconcile weekly franchisee payments.

o Record and process cash deposits and complete related cash reconciliations.

o Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting support.

Finance Team Support

o Provide accurate accounting and clerical support to the Finance team.

o Support special accounting projects and complete other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete work accurately and consistently.
• Ability to organize priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling financial and confidential information.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team.
• Professional and positive communication with employees, business partners, and customers.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook, and comfort learning accounting software.
• Experience with Restaurant365, PAR OPS, FileBound, or Visual Lease is helpful but not required.

This position frequently requires sitting or remaining stationary, using a computer and other standard office equipment, and communicating with others. Work Environment

This role is primarily performed in an on-site office environment. The employee may occasionally work in other areas of the Support Center and may encounter odors from food or cleaning products.
