Job Overview

The Sales Engineer combines technical expertise with consultative selling to support customers and drive business growth. In this role, you’ll partner with customers to understand their testing challenges, recommend both standard equipment and custom-engineered solutions, and guide projects from concept through delivery. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor and key link between customers, sales, and engineering teams.

A Day in the Life

You’ll spend your day working with customers and internal teams to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored test solutions. You’ll present products, develop quotes, and manage opportunities from initial conversation through close. It’s a collaborative, fast-paced role where technical knowledge and relationship-building drive success.

What You’ll Do

• Promote and sell Cirris electrical test equipment and custom engineering solutions
• Identify customer needs and recommend standard or custom test solutions
• Manage the full sales lifecycle, including qualification, quoting, and closing
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define and deliver customer-specific solutions
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting
• Maintain customer relationships and develop new business opportunities
• Track opportunities and sales activity using CRM and internal systems
• Stay current on products, industry trends, and competitive solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex systems
• Consultative selling mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to translate technical requirements into commercial proposals
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering required
• Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or similar role preferred
• Experience with industrial, electrical, or capital equipment is a plus

Travel

• Up to 30% travel, including domestic and occasional international trips to support customers and business development
