Manufacturing Engineer

Description: 

ENG- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts that support efficient production workflows and high-quality manufacturing outcomes. Integrate automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, 3D model data, equipment evaluation, and statistical process control to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Ensure processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations and support continuous improvement.

*4/10B-2nd Shift, Tuesday-Friday, 12 noon-10 pm
*Must be a U.S. Citizen

#Education & Job Requirements

*2+ years of experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
*2+ years of experience utilizing CAM software, G-code, interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment
*1+ years of experience with Mil-Spec special processes, including heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, and organic coatings
*2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Preferred Skills

*Utilize CREO or NX for CAD
*Apply CREO or NX for CAM
*Perform chem film, paint applications, and other special processes
*Operate Vericut
*Demonstrate familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards and common military specifications
*Apply effective project management practices
*Work with SAP
*Use Apriso
*Navigate Windchill PLM
*Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

#Job Duties & Functions

*Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
*Design arrangements of machines within plant facilities to ensure efficient and productive layouts.
*Create sequences of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
*Adapt machine and equipment designs to factory and production conditions.
*Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
*Inspect machinery, equipment, and tool performance to verify efficiency.
*Investigate machinery, equipment, and tool problems and deficiencies and initiate corrective actions to ensure product quality.
*Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and related techniques.
*Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
*Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations.
*Integrate automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software to improve efficiency.
*Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize work instructions and process flows.
*Evaluate equipment performance, including IoT devices, and initiate corrective actions.
*Utilize factory data to develop statistical process control and continuous improvement analytics.
