About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in relevant field License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - IV therapy skills including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs - Knowledge in managing CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management - Emergency care experience for adult and pediatric patients Description: The role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room setting. Candidates will be required to work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, on a rotating schedule. Every other holiday availability is required. The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical skills in emergency care, including triage and isolation precautions. Experience with a ratio of 1:5 for adult and geriatric patients is essential. Candidates must be comfortable floating within their skill set when necessary. The emergency department is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology and specialized facilities for trauma cases. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing various emergency diagnoses. Working knowledge of patient handling equipment and special procedures in an emergency setting is required. Success in this role depends on the ability to respond swiftly to critical situations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
