Location: Cape Girardeau, MO

Pay: $18.38 - $20.78/hour (Depending on experience) + shift differentials 

Floater Pay: $19.59 - $21.99/hour

Community Counseling Center (CCC) offer's shift differentials for Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) Staff who work on Evening and Overnight shifts at its residential facilities.

Evening Shift: +$.50/hour per hour worked on Evenings.

Overnight Shift: +#1.00/hour per hour worked on overnights.

Shifts Available:

Full Time

Evening Shift:

• 2:15pm - 10:45pm, Must be open to any day of the week including weekends

Floating Shift:

• Shifts vary depending on program needs.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and overnights

Part - Time: 

• 6:15am - 2:45pm
• 2:15pm - 10:45pm

Note: Must be open to any day of the week including weekends. 

PRN Shift:

• Typically 1 shift per week, any shift depending on need and your availability

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED/HSE
• Must hold Valid Driver's License (Class E for Missouri or Class D for IL Residents - Obtain on start date) and current continuous auto insurance.

The Program:

Cottonwood is a 16 Bed Residential Treatment Facility serving children and adolescent patients. The program is intended for youth 7 - 18 years of age. The program offers an intensive residential treatment milieu and serves an alternative to hospitalization. 

Job Duties:

1. Provide care to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment based on a trauma informed approach.
2. Promote and educate clients regarding activities of daily living including household management (i.e., attending to bedroom, laundry, etc.) and self-care management (i.e., hygiene, grooming, medication, etc.) tasks and responsibilities.
3. Teach functional living skills such as anger management techniques, impulse control, social/communication skills, relaxation skills, emotional coping skills, etc. based on the client's individual treatment plan.
4. Collaborate closely with the treatment team to appropriately coordinate client care services.
5. Complete and chart client observations in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
6. Conduct ongoing checks; including personal belongings, room checks, and grounds checks based on agency policy and procedure.
7. Ensure protective oversight of clients, monitor the condition of clients, and follow agency policy and procedure regarding medical emergencies or elopement.
8. Intervene in behavioral health crisis situations, when needed, which may include use of seclusion and/or restrain interventions to prevent self-harm or harm to others.
9. Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.
10. Based on need, provide seclusion and/or restraint interventions in accordance with Pro-Act guidelines and agency policy and procedure.
11. Responsible for transporting clients in agency and/or personal vehicle as deemed necessary and appropriate to meet program requirements.
12. Maintain certification in Pro-ACT and CPR/First Aid.
