Corporate Accounting Intern

Cleveland-Cliffs is looking for a summer Accounting Intern at our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to corporate accounting at a Fortune 500 company. Working primarily with the corporate financial reporting team, you will assist with preparing benefit plan statements, drafting the 10-Q, and other corporate accounting tasks and projects. Summary of Responsibilities: Assist in drafting financial statements and related disclosures, including footnotes, for inclusion in the Company's SEC Form 10-Q filing. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple 401K and pension plans. Collaborate on the assessment of new GAAP and SEC guidelines. Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. Participate in other ad hoc projects, as requested. Minimum Qualifications: Enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Accounting or Finance. Must have completed at least freshman year of study by the summer of 2027.
