Title: Safety & Ergonomic Analyst

Location: Waterloo, IA

Duration: 14+ Months (possible extension)

1st shift position (7 am to 3:30 pm) with no overtime anticipated

• Manager is looking for candidates who have MS Office experience (Word and Excel especially).
• Safety/ergonomics degree or certificate in safety field.
• Engineering or technical schooling will also be considered.
• Manager is open to recent grad candidates.

• This is an entry-level position into the safety and ergonomics profession Performs structured assignment that require analysis and interpretation of data and regulations to determine potential problems and recommended actions.
• Also provides technical support with the ergonomics process. Works under general direction.
• Compiles and analyzes necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.
• Conducts safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with client standards, processes and applicable laws and regulations.
• Participates in incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assists in determining effective correction action.
• Communicates results of analysis and interpretation to appropriate work group for awareness and any required action.

Specific Position Requirements

• Conducts ergonomic assessment and analysis of products, processes, packaging, equipment, tooling and methods used in the manufacture of products.
• Conduct safety and ergonomic risk assessments on new or relocated equipment to identify ergonomics risks.
• Conducts ergonomic training for supervisors, operators and employees.
• Documents corrective actions and plans to make ergonomics improvements.
