Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. This role focuses on medication preparation, patient coordination, and maintaining a compliant laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in the accurate labeling and packaging of prescriptions.
• Support the preparation of non-sterile (and/or sterile) compounded medications following strict formulas and safety protocols.
• Manage patient profiles, intake forms, and insurance adjudications to ensure a seamless experience.
• Maintain a sterile and organized laboratory environment, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and cleaned according to regulatory standards.
• Track chemical and supply inventory levels, ensuring specialized ingredients are ordered and rotated properly.
• Adhere strictly to USP and standards (as applicable), as well as state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician license/registration in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.

Experience

Previous experience in a compounding or specialty pharmacy environment is highly preferred but not required for candidates with a strong desire to learn.

Schedule / Shift

Working hours will be 9 AM - 5 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 9 AM - 6 PM on Tuesday and Thursday.
