About the Role: The Clinic Medical Assistant Certified-Float-Fulltime plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations across multiple healthcare settings by providing comprehensive patient care and administrative assistance. This position requires flexibility to work in various clinic locations, adapting quickly to different team dynamics and patient needs while maintaining high standards of care. The primary goal is to ensure smooth clinical workflows, accurate patient documentation, and effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. The role demands a certified medical assistant who can perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures, as well as administrative duties including scheduling and record keeping. Minimum Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of one year experience working as a medical assistant in a clinical setting. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills. Ability to work flexible hours and travel between clinic locations as required. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license, a good driving record and liability insurance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a multi-site healthcare environment or as a float medical assistant. Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or EKG Technician credentials. Familiarity with insurance billing and coding procedures. Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient education and counseling.. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
