Registered Nurse (RN)Join a dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in a busy trauma center that accommodates both adult and pediatric patients. The facility features 48 beds and the ability to flex up to 62 total beds using hall beds when necessary. The Emergency Department (ED) strives to maintain a staffing ratio of no more than 1:4 for regular patients, with hold assignments configured as 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. This facility experiences an average of 6.6 behavioral health patients per day.Shift RequirementsWork schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each.Must be willing to take on charge responsibilities.Local candidates from this state are not eligible for consideration.Floating RequirementsCandidates must be willing to float within the hospital or to affiliate locations as necessary, which is required for all travelers.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and PALS; NIH and TNCC certifications are preferred.Must have at least level 2 trauma experience.Skillset RequirementsGeneral Emergency Department skills for both adults and pediatrics.Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including administration of continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.Proficient in phlebotomy and starting IVs.Experience with procedural sedation administration, CPAP/BiPAP, and managing ventilated patients.Knowledge of isolation precautions.Unit Information48 beds, expandable to 62 using hall beds.Maximum staffing ratio of 1:4 for regular patients.Daily average of 6.6 behavioral health patients.If you are a qualified Registered Nurse looking to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient care needs, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
