Overview Project Manager (Onsite) – Walnut Creek Lead the charge in shaping Transmission & Substation projects as a dynamic Project Manager in Walnut Creek. This pivotal role oversees large-scale engineering initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring safety, environmental integrity, and client satisfaction at every step. Responsibilities Lead and manage large, multi-discipline engineering projects from inception to completion, with a focus on Transmission & Substation areas. Ensure safety, environmental integrity, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Influence stakeholders and lead teams effectively to deliver project objectives. Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide project management leadership. Oversee project controls, scheduling, and documentation to support successful delivery. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited program Minimum of 7 years of experience in design engineering, including at least 3 years managing engineering projects Proven success in project management and client relationship development Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—with the capacity to present complex concepts clearly Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document control, scheduling, and project management software Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams effectively Experience with consulting, Transmission & Distribution projects P.E. and PMP certifications Familiarity with project controls systems and environmental permitting processes Prior experience managing large, multi-discipline engineering teams Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree in a related field (may substitute for one year of experience) Extensive background in transmission and substation project delivery Prior work with utility clients and strong industry connections Other Requirements This role is strictly onsite—no remote or hybrid arrangements allowed Willingness to travel to client sites across DMV/MVR regions Background check including DMV/MVR screening Ability to handle demanding schedules and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Estimated Min Rate: $59.50 • Estimated Max Rate: $85.00 What’s In It for You?
