Loan Officer Assistant

Job Overview The Loan Officer Assistant’s primary role is to act as a liaison between the Loan Officer, borrowers, and operation departments, ensuring clear communication for a smooth closing transaction. Key Responsibilities Assist Loan Officer as needed (minus any licensed activity) Collect missing documentation from borrowers to complete loan files Work with the Processor to gather documentation to satisfy Loan Officer conditions Update Loan Officer on the status of conditions and copy the Loan Officer on correspondence and requests for documentation Order verification of employment (VOE) Stack file for processing Perform basic office functions such as taking phone calls, scheduling meetings for the loan officer, and making copies Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge of Freddie Mac (FHLMC), Fannie Mae (FNMA), FHA, and VAKnowledge of principles and theories Two (2) years prior mortgage or mortgage banking experience Ability to deliver effective results and meet deadlines Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automotive insurance Sound judgment and decision‑making skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Excellent phone and service skills Timely communication and response times according to department standards Travel Requirements As needed, travel internationally between the United States and Mexico to meet business needs. Language English preferred; bilingual (English/Spanish) desired. Compensation PMG will offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with the background and experience of the applicant.
