Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff on the unit and coordinate patient care activities in the absence of the CNO, DON, and unit leadership
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care
- Coordinate age-appropriate care using the nursing process across the patient population
- Lead staffing, resource management, and conflict resolution; support staff development
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team; respond rapidly in emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values

Requirements
- Active RN license in Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP within 6 months of hire
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 4 years acute care experience; ED experience required
- Ability to function independently and to operate effectively in an inpatient care environment; able to work 12-hour night shifts
