Role Overview

• Assess patients across various age groups through standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions targeting speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Educate patients and their families to advocate for ongoing success outside clinical environments.
• Participate in the rare inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, securing a seamless treatment continuum.
• Maintain prompt and precise documentation in line with state, federal, and organization standards.
• Engage in lifelong learning by staying abreast of advancements in the field through education and collaboration with peers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
