"I can succeed as a Fundamental Research Group (FRG) Associate at Capital Group."

As one of our FRG Associates, you will work closely and collaborate withInvestment Professionals and peers to deliver valuableinsights and conduct bottom-up fundamental research and analysis that will driveinvestment decisions. You will partner withInvestment Professionals on their coverage to helpgenerateinvestmentideas and monitor holdings by researching and analyzing companies and relatedindustries, financial modeling, drafting reports, facilitating meetings with management teams,sell-side firmsandindustry experts, and working as a key contributorin theinvestment process. You will work on projects withgrowing complexity over time, receiving direction and mentorship from experiencedinvestment professionals.

We're seeking candidates with a broad equity research background and the ability to support a diverse coverage universe that includes small- and mid-cap companies. Knowledge of Industrials is a plus but not required.

• You have extensive experience with detailed financial modeling and fundamental analysis, working withsell-side firms andindustry consultants, utilizing research tools, trade publications, onlinesources, regulatory filings, etc., andinterpreting thisinformation togenerateinsightful analysis.

• You have 2+ years of experiencein a related field (equity research,investment banking, consulting, accounting or other).

• You are passionate about a careerin equity research with astronginterestin long-onlyinvesting.

• You have astrong desire to continue to develop bottom-up fundamental researchskills workingin partnership with experiencedinvestment professionals.

• You have a proven ability to develop and maintain comprehensive charts and visualizations tosupport equity analysis and communicateinvestmentinsights effectively.

• You thrivein teamsettings. You askgood questions, bounceideas off others and proactivelyshare your perspective.

• You enjoy learning new things and can flex to varying workstyles and expectations.

• You have aninquisitive mind, demonstratingintellectual curiosity and analyticalskillsin areas of high complexitysurrounding financial markets andindustry trends.

• You applysound judgmentin resolving conceptually complex matters.

• You apply effective written and oral communicationskills.

• You collaborate and develop/maintain relationships bothinside and outside the organization.

• You are available for occasional travel on research trips to meet with company management teams andinvestment professionals.

• Youseek and view feedback as essential to learning andimprovement and areself-aware.

• You have a bachelor'sdegreein finance, economics,STEMor a relevant field ofstudy.

• You have familiarity with programming languages (Python, SQL), LLMs, data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and data platforms is a plus, but not necessary.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $141,648-$226,637 San Francisco Base Salary Range: $165,185-$264,296 New York Base Salary Range: $150,155-$240,248

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
