PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING CLINIC SUPERVISOR (CLASS CODE 5138)

Responsibilities Advanced nursing work supervising the activities of Public Health Nurses and other clinic support staff providing services in connection with general health, child health, and chronic and communicable disease control. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and license to practice nursing in the State of Louisiana. Four (4) years of professional experience in the field of Public Health Nursing, or four (4) years of professional nursing experience that included public health nursing components such as evaluating health needs, teaching and counseling, developing the capabilities of individuals and families to cope with health problems, and using community resources. One (1) year of this experience must have included supervisory duties as a primary responsibility.
