HEALTH PROJECT & PLANNING MANAGER (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT) (CLASS CODE 5503)

Responsibilities Highly responsible professional work in the administration and oversight of multiple grant projects related to the reduction of domestic violence and sexual assault in the community. The role includes oversight of operations, programs, public relations, and coalition building for the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program, as well as implementing, monitoring, and supporting a comprehensive quality management system for the initiatives. The incumbent will coordinate community response to domestic violence and sexual assault, and perform related work as required. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of professional managerial experience in public health program management, with at least one year in the area of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to effectively engage the public across all demographics, and establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships. This position requires frequent public speaking. Prior to appointment, the hiring agency will verify education claimed by the applicant. A Master's degree in Public Health, a social science, criminal justice, or a Juris Doctorate may substitute for one (1) year of general public health program management experience. Pay above the minimum for superior qualifications may be granted. A written test, weighted 100%, will be administered.
