Job Description

Mad River Community Hospital, located on the northern California coast in Arcata, seeks a MRI Technician who is also a capable XRay Technician, CT Technician, or other modality.

JOB SUMMARY

Perform diagnostic exams in two or more of the following modalities: Computerized tomography, Diagnostic Radiography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Ultrasonography. Provide direct patient care to patients of all ages. Intra-hospital transportation of patients as needed. Contribute to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. Cover shifts and call as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of formal Radiology Technology training program
• ARRT certification
• CRT certification
• BLS certification
• Fluoroscopy permit preferred; required if Radiology/CT is primary modality
• Ability to interact with patients respectfully and get along well with coworkers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a professional and positive manner

Wages are based on prior related experience.

There is a 2-acre on-site farm that provides our cafeteria with produce for serving patients and staff.
