Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty - EPIC charting experience required - Previous experience in Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. The position requires working three 12-hour night shifts. Flexibility with scheduling is essential. There is a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. Candidates must complete compliance requirements on time. The candidate must be aware of the Pass Fail EKG exam requirement. The role includes managing a variety of patient situations, including trauma and emergencies. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams and includes various specialized services. Preferred experience includes working in a Level 2 Trauma Center. Skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients are essential. The position requires the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Travelers may be floated to different facilities as necessary. There are no open cases permitted in the background check process. The candidate must be prepared to manage a high-volume patient load and utilize clinical judgment effectively. The facility provides support for various patient diagnoses and special procedures.
