What You'll Do As a Collections Specialist, you'll play an important role in helping LCS achieve its recovery goals while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include: Managing inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate resolutions on delinquent accounts. Negotiating payment arrangements and settlement agreements based on borrowers' individual financial circumstances. Utilizing skip-tracing tools and investigative techniques to locate borrowers and relevant assets. Managing assigned account portfolios and prioritizing collection activities to maximize recovery opportunities. Consistently working toward individual and departmental performance goals. Maintaining accurate and detailed account documentation. Delivering professional, respectful customer interactions while navigating difficult conversations. Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local collection laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintaining consistent communication with management and team members while working remotely. What We're Looking For We're seeking experienced collectors who know what it takes to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and can maintain a high level of productivity while working independently. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of third-party debt collection experience. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills. Proven ability to manage collection accounts and negotiate successful payment arrangements. Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals. Professionalism, reliability, accountability, and a positive attitude. Working knowledge of applicable debt collection laws and regulations. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-minimized remote workspace suitable for confidential customer conversations. Reliable internet connectivity sufficient to perform job responsibilities. Ability to remain available, responsive, and productive throughout scheduled working hours. Must reside and work in an LCS-approved state. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a high-volume collections’ environment. Familiarity with skip-tracing tools and collection management systems. Experience negotiating settlements and payment arrangements. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills. Previous experience consistently meeting or exceeding collection goals. Why Join LCS?
