Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.Position Details:RN Operating Room - Kansas City, MO Location: Kansas City, MO 64132 Project Duration: Fulltime / Permanent Sign on bonus: $20K Shift Timing: Nights (7p-7A)/ Days (7a-7p)Job Summary and Qualifications:Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your scheduleCulture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staffContinuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating RoomRounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvementOn-call is required during select non-business hoursWhat you will do in this role:Evaluate patients prior to surgeryProvide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative processAssume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verificationParticipate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policyRecognize and respond to patient emergenciesDeliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiativesBe an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and moreConsistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patientsAssess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughlyEducate patients and families/caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment and follow-up measuresWhat qualifications you will need:1+ Years of Recent OR RN (Scrub/Circulating experience in the OR).Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(RN) Registered NurseRegistered Nurse DiplomaTo discuss this amazing opportunity, reach out to our Talent Acquisition Specialist Himanshi Pandits at View email address on click.appcast.io can be reached on # View phone number on click.appcast.io.About generis tek: generis tek is a boutique it/professional staffing based in Chicago land.
