As a dedicated professional working full time (37.5 hours per week) on a contract basis, your expertise as a School Psychologist will be instrumental in promoting the academic, social, and emotional success of elementary and secondary students.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico state licensure and NMPED Teacher Certification required
• Open to candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CF) or those with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Ability to manage a caseload of 40-50 students effectively
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Role Overview:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support student learning and emotional well-being
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver counseling and crisis intervention services for students in need
• Serve as a key resource in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expertise to foster inclusive and supportive school environments
• Facilitate small group and classroom-based interventions for elementary and secondary school students
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure optimal growth for students
