Position Purpose Schedule appointments, gather medical histories, and update member and provider information to support member outreach and claims reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Assist members with scheduling office visits with their primary care providers. Retrieve charts from electronic medical record (EMR) systems and compile medical records to send to external parties for coding. Make outbound phone calls to provider groups to request necessary medical records. Complete supplemental medical record requests utilizing Microsoft Excel. Provide updated member and provider information to external vendors. Direct medical record requests to the appropriate responsible parties. Resolve outstanding vendor pends in a timely manner by updating demographics and troubleshooting chart load issues. Ensure diligent follow-up on member appointments and other designated tasks. Assist the department with various ad hoc administrative requests as needed. Education & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 0 to 2+ years of experience in a customer service or medical office environment. Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Prior experience with preserved medical record retrieval systems is highly preferred. Background in medical billing or coding is a plus.
