Psychiatric Technician

Shady Grove Medical Center - Behavioral Health seeks to hire a Psychiatric Technician who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Psychiatric Technician you will:

• Facilitate patient-professional collaboration at all levels of health care.
• Monitor therapeutic treatment.
• Recognize and value differences in the care team and creates a setting conducive to opinion-sharing.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
• Incorporate clinical guidelines into patient care.
• Uses information technology to deliver safe and efficient care.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• Minimum of 2 years in related field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in inpatient behavioral health setting preferred.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Schedule:

This is a per diem position with a rate of $23.00 per hour.

• Typical Daily Schedule: 6:45a-7:15pm
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Minimum of 4 shifts in a 4-week scheduling period (must include 2 weekend shifts).
• Holiday Requirements: Assigned holiday rotation
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range:

If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
