Network Engineer

Job Overview Under the direction of the Network Operations Supervisor, the candidate will manage Imperial County Network operations. The position also provides consultancy for the design and implementation of new network and data center initiatives, develops advanced competency to deliver high levels of network and data center availability, and supports strategic planning in terms of best practice, cost management, and application of emerging technologies. Qualifications Five years of experience in network administration/engineering and architecture, including proficiency with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. Valid California Driver’s License and professional certification such as Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), as required by assignment. Driver and Vehicle Requirements A valid driver’s license may be required at the time of appointment. Employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC §160020.
