Construction Estimator
FirstFour Staffing
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential and light commercial construction projects. This role evaluates project plans, specifications, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing to develop detailed budgets and proposals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating, preferably in residential or light commercial construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction materials, building methods, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus.
