Sales Intern

Year‑Round Sales Intern FORVIA is looking for a year‑round Sales Intern for its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Your mission, roles and responsibilities As part of our Sales and Program Management team, you will be integrated into our EV market activities, working directly with EV brands to understand each customer’s expectations and way of working. You will support the Program & Sales Engineer Intern role across Program, Serial Life, Development, and Acquisition topics, gaining hands‑on learning and exposure to commercial and program activities. The main missions of the role are Gain exposure to cross‑functional teams, business challenges, senior leaders, and customers. Build leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills through real project work. Support sales activities by working with commercial and program teams to understand customer expectations and processes. Learn core financial concepts such as cost drivers, inflation effects, and cost structures. Contribute to proposing and validating targeted pricing and negotiation tactics. Prepare and negotiate commercial answers to customer Engineering Change Requests (ECR). Understand piece price, tooling, and D&D impact. Manage local economics such as inflation and exchange rate. Implement Sales Administration guidelines and processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, overdue management). Commercially manage spare parts. Review customer change requests and assess cost, tooling, and development impacts. Contribute to cost‑saving ideas and continuous‑improvement projects. Support sales administration (POs, invoices, overdue tracking) and spare‑parts pricing. Coordinate prototype builds, order materials, track timing and deliveries. Support quote preparation and profitability reviews. Your profile and competencies to succeed Fluent in English. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting skills. Comfortable with financials. Good communication and presentation skills, with empathy. Business international mindset. Results orientation, client orientation, and team player. Good analytical skills and accountability. Business, technical, or data major. Minimum GPA of 2.8.
