About the Role

TRM Labs is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to support its Insights team within Primary Intelligence.

You'll work closely with researchers to transform complex, data-driven research into compelling, accessible content for customers, journalists, and broader audiences. This role requires more than traditional copyediting — we're looking for someone who can think critically, challenge narratives, ask thoughtful questions, and identify opportunities to make research more engaging and impactful.

You'll own the editorial process from completed research drafts through publication and distribution, with approximately 70% of the role focused on editorial review and content development and the remaining time dedicated to publishing, content operations, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Editorial Review: Review and refine research papers and insights, strengthening narratives, headlines, key takeaways, structure, and readability.
• Critical Thinking & Collaboration: Partner with researchers to ask thoughtful questions, identify gaps, challenge assumptions, and ensure content tells a compelling, accurate story.
• Content Ownership: Independently manage the editorial process from research handoff through final approval, publication, and distribution.
• Editorial Calendar: Maintain publishing schedules, coordinate priorities, and manage approximately 1–3 research pieces per week.
• Website & Social Content: Publish finalized research to TRM's website and develop accompanying social content.
• Content Distribution: Coordinate distribution to customers, internal stakeholders, and relevant external audiences.
• Media Outreach: Support journalist outreach and media relations, with potential for greater ownership based on experience.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in content marketing, editorial content development, or a related writing/editing role.
• Excellent writing, editing, and editorial judgment, including the ability to strengthen complex narratives while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong critical thinking skills and genuine curiosity, with the confidence to engage with research, ask questions, and provide constructive feedback.
• Experience independently managing editorial workflows, content development, and publishing processes.
• Ability to translate complex, technical, or data-driven information into clear, engaging content for different audiences.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting research, insights, analytics, or technical subject-matter teams.
• Background producing or editing research-driven thought leadership, reports, or technical content.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial crime, cybersecurity, fintech, or related industries.
• Experience with journalist outreach, media relations, or multichannel content distribution.

Note: Direct crypto/blockchain experience is not required. We're particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate strong editorial judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to engage critically with complex research.
