Director OF Application Development

A client is looking for a Director of Application Systems to build and maintain the strategy, reliability, and support of its enterprise application environment in Hershey, PA. This role involves leading a team responsible for a variety of business applications, such as People?Soft ERP, student information systems, human resources, finance, healthcare, and instructional systems. The responsibility includes making sure the applications are secure, reliable, optimized, and available round the clock, as well as overseeing system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, documentation, and troubleshooting. The Director will evaluate existing systems, recommend technological improvements, and enhance data integration and processes. Additional responsibilities include managing operational and capital budgets, vendor relationships, and key contracts, as well as collaborating with IT leadership on implementing new systems. The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to leadership, staff, and vendors is essential. The ideal candidate should professionally or educationally per commended field and senior-level experience in application management or IT leadership, specifically with application support, development, integrations, and the software development lifecycle.
