Digital transformation is everywhere, with technologies such as Multi-Cloud, Cybersecurity, Automation, IoT, AI, Machine Learning, and 5G driving the next waves of innovation.Responsibilities* Provide pre-sales technical consultation in the design, engineering, sale, and implementation of sophisticated products, applications, and solutions.* Working in partnership with sales teams, strategic and industry partners in assessing the potential application of our products ensuring that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers.* Proven experience of process, tools, and techniques for responding to a customer’s proposals (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and create viable proposals that grow Juniper's business in a driven and opportunity-filled sales environment.* Experience and knowledge in developing and consulting on architecture designs, engineering bill of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions.* Use your industry and product knowledge to engage and influence customer technology strategies through showcasing Juniper technologies during technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept, and trial engagements.* Build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and industry partner community* Deliver training and support to our industry partners and customer engineers.* Continuously learn and stay ahead of the industry and competitive solutions, products, and services.* Enjoy the personal growth career opportunity that comes from exposure to the latest technological innovations and apply these capabilities to address the real-world challenges of our customers.Education & Experience* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales or Systems Engineer.* Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and or related field or equivalent experience.* Extensive experience in designing/engineering/consulting on WAN, Data Center, Security, and Cloud technology solutions.* Extensive experience in implementing and operating large scale WAN backbone networks.* Extensive experience and depth of knowledge around the Juniper product line, key competitors’ products, solutions, and vertical market use cases.* Long-established experience and hands-on expertise with networking industry technologies across routing, switching, and security technology domains from a pre-sale, operational or engineering point of view* Solid interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with extensive experience in customer-facing sales activities (presenting, whiteboarding etc.) and Exec/C-level engagements.* Recognized technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply skills in new protocols and applications and their context to customers.* Deep understanding of Routing Protocols (IGPs, EGPs, Layer-2/3 VPN’s)* Extensive experience of datacenter network design (EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, underlay fabric)* Extensive experience of MPLS and WAN network design (LDP, RSVP, SR-TE, SRv6 etc.)* Experience of network security (NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, SIEM)* Hands-on experience with either Juniper or other vendors solutions.What we would love you to have:* DevOps experience in automation using Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, YANG, JSON, Netconf and Ansible.* Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure* JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, etc. or other industry certification is desiredWhat makes you a phenomenal fit:* Positive attitude, a desire to learn new technologies, and the ability to handle competing priorities in a very challenging environment.* Embraces HPE culture and values and acts as an advocate and role model for the brand* Must be willing and able to travel as required to meet business and customer demands**What We Can Offer You:****Health & Wellbeing**We strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.**Personal & Professional Development**We also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. – United States of America: Annual Salary USD 199,000 - 411,500 in California This range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target-level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan.
