Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in a Labor and Delivery unit, supporting maternal and neonatal health. Ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care during hospital shifts.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of obstetric patients to determine care needs.
Administer medications and monitor fetal and maternal vital signs.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Respond to emergencies and provide immediate intervention as required.
Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records.
Assist with patient education on labor, postpartum care, and neonatal care.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid registered nurse license with current credentials.
Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
Demonstrate experience in labor and delivery or maternal/newborn nursing.
Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to float and assist in ED or other units when needed.
Available for part-time night shifts, including weekends, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
