This role will involve hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems, using a range of equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing RF circuits and systems, as well as integrating them with other EGSE components, such as digital signal processing and software-defined radio systems.In this position you will play a key role in ensuring the development of high-quality EGSE systems, and will be responsible for:Designing and developing RF circuits and systems, including amplifiers, filters, and antennasPerforming hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems using a range of equipment including: Spectrum analyzers to measure and analyze RF signals, Signal generators to generate RF signals for testing, Oscilloscopes to measure and analyze RF waveforms, and Network analyzers to measure and analyze RF network parametersDeveloping and implementing test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standardsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems with other EGSE componentsDesigning and developing software-defined radio (SDR) systems and interfaces, including waveform development and testingTroubleshooting and debugging RF system issues, using a range of tools and techniques#SpaceRFStandard Job Description:Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis.
