We are currently looking to hire a **Registered Veterinary Technician**to join our team at **Village Veterinary Hospital** in Bosque Farms, New Mexico.* **Salary:** $19 – $23 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.* **Schedule:** Hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Thursday and Saturday 1/2 days 8:30 am – 12 pm. Closed on Sunday and major holidays.* **Location:** 250 Bosque Farms Blvd, Bosque Farms, NM 87068**Who We Are:****Village Veterinary Hospital** is a long-standing mixed animal hospital with deep ties to the community, located in Bosque Farms, New Mexico. With a deeply loyal clientele, this hospital is always busy and utilizes all associates to the highest level of their skills. Our clinic treats small animals (60%), large animals (40%), as well as emergencies. We offer full-service veterinary medical treatment, ranging from preventive medicine, dental cleanings, in-house laboratory, pharmacy, digital x-rays, digital ultrasound, house calls, and emergency surgical care.**What the Clients Say:**“I have been trusting Dr. McAllister, and the other doctors, assistants, and support staff for well over 20 years. I would highly recommend the Village Vet to anyone looking for a first-class veterinarian!”**Who You Are:*** **Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)** in New Mexico, *or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire.** **3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant*** Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.* Knowledge of industry tools and equipment* Passion for working with large and small animals, and their owners* Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species* Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting* Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare* Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills* Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing* Skilled in IV Catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints* Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care* Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation* Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis* And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law**What Makes Us Different*** Referral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!* Career development and advancement opportunities.* CE programs provided by AmeriVet at NO cost to you!* Continuing education allowance and license reimbursement up to $1000 per yearLearn more about us at: or: AmeriVet: Veterinary Partner Supporting Your BusinessAt AmeriVet, we’re committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
