About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to join its team. The successful candidate will be on a CEO successor track and will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the business, conducting a comprehensive assessment of organizational strengths and weaknesses, and building trusted relationships across the executive team, board, investors, and key stakeholders. In the first 6 months, the CSO will also be tasked with identifying high-leverage initiatives to scale the company and will then own and drive critical strategic initiatives on behalf of the CEO and founders. This role requires a proven executive leader with experience in high-growth, venture-backed, defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, or deep technology companies, and a track record of leading organizations through periods of hypergrowth, transformation, or significant scale. The ideal candidate for the CSO position at the company will have exceptional pattern recognition, business judgment, and the ability to diagnose and solve complex organizational challenges. They must be comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and be adept at building trust and influencing at all levels. The role is pivotal in shaping the company's long-term strategy and may lead to broader operating responsibilities and future leadership opportunities. The CSO will be expected to represent the company externally with various stakeholders and to serve as a force multiplier for the leadership team, ensuring successful outcomes in high-priority situations.
