Nurse SupervisorSchedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | No Nights, No Weekends, No Inpatient On-Call Location: Primary office at Orthopedics of Chesterfield (with coverage across regional clinics) The Nurse Supervisor serves as the clinical and operational anchor for the Foot & Ankle practice. Balancing clinical expertise with administrative leadership, the supervisor oversees daily practice operations, optimizes patient workflows, and fosters a collaborative environment focused on top-tier specialty care.• Supervises, mentors, and empowers a team of 1 RN and 6 MAs while driving accountability, teamwork, and high clinical standards.• Oversees daily clinic flow, manages resource allocation, and optimizes workflows across multiple clinic locations.• Acts as the primary liaison between surgeons, APPs, clinic staff, departmental leadership, and OR teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.Why Join Our Team? Career Growth - Play a pivotal role in operational decision-making, workflow innovation, and practice expansion.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:Supervises nursing staff, including hiring/firing responsibilities, performance appraisals for subordinates, initiating disciplinary action.Coordinates patient services with physicians and staff to provide quality care in effective manner, conducting rounds to ensure quality of patient care delivery.Facilitates educational opportunities and quality improvement activities for staff to ensure compliance with medical school and regulatory guidelines.Assigns/coordinates activities and duties of staff orienting new staff and advising administration of conditions and performance issues.Provides direct patient care as needed, including development of patient care plans, administering medication, vitals, phlebotomy, monitoring IV therapies and maintaining records in accordance with approved nursing techniques.Promotes/maintains good public relations with patients and families, acting as liaison between other departments.Provides appropriate counsel to patients/families explaining medications, procedures and teaches care to ensure continuity of care and promote health care maintenance.Monitors supplies/equipment ordering/repairing as required.Working Conditions:Normal office environmentExposure to blood-borne pathogensRequires protective devicesPatient care settingDirect patient care settingPhysical EffortTypically sitting at desk or tableTypically standing or walkingTypically bending, crouching, stoopingOccasional lifting (25 lbs or less)EquipmentOffice equipmentClinical/diagnostic equipmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
